This study aimed at assessing the contribution of protected areas to the livelihoods of adjacent communities using Queen Elizabeth National Park as a case study. Specific objectives of the study were to examine the effect of crop raiding on food security, assessing the contribution of the park to household incomes and examining the relationship between protected areas and social capital formation.
