This book presents synthesis of Cd(II)-, Pb(II)- and Hg(II)-aminothiolates in aqueous media. 2-Aminoethanethiolate, a versatile sulfur and nitrogen based ligand was used due to its resemblance to the naturally occurring amino acid, cysteine.
