This work looks at the policies and projects of the Caribbean Development Bank, which, like the other multilateral banks, has come under growing criticism from grassroots organisations, environmental groups and others.

The Caribbean Development Bank has focused its efforts on development of, in particular, the seven small island states that form the Organization of East Caribbean States. Some of the advantages of smallness, as well as the proximity to and continuity of relations with the partner countries are demonstrated in this study.
