This book is a collection of essays by scholars and artists who participated in the symposium «Re-Naming the Landscape» at the State University of New York, College of Arts and Science at Plattsburgh, in March 1993. The essays address the «naming» as well as the «re-naming» of the physical, political, literary, philosophical, and aesthetic landscapes, and explore their significance.
