Alternative energy refers to a type of energy that is derived from sources other than fossil fuels. This energy emits little to no greenhouse gases such as carbon dioxide (CO2) and methane. The energy generated from alternative sources does not lead to the greenhouse effect that is responsible for climate change. There are various types of alternative energy sources including wind power, hydroelectricity, tidal power, solar power, biomass, nuc...
