Joanne Limburg was born and grew up in London, at the northern end of the Jubilee Line, but now lives in Cambridge with her husband and son. She has published several collections of poetry, The Woman Who Thought Too Much, a memoir about OCD, anxiety and poetry, and the novel A Want of Kindness which was longlisted for the HWA debut novel award 2016.

Poems of a lost self and a lost brother. Growing up with undiagnosed Asperger's, Limburg identified with Alice from Alice in Wonderland. Another of the book's main sequences was written in response to her brother's suicide.

Joanne Limburg was born in London in 1970, and studied Philosophy at Cambridge. She is the author of two poetry collections. Femenismo (Bloodaxe, 2000) was shortlisted for the Forward Best First Collection Prize, Paraphernalia (Bloodaxe, 2007) was a Poetry Book Society Recommendation. She lives in Cambridge with her husband and son, and is currently the Royal Literary Fund Fellow at Magdalen College.
