George Pereny is the child of Holocaust survivors, he and his family escaped from Hungary during the 1956 Hungarian Revolution. Pereny taught in the inner city for over forty years, the last twenty-nine at DeWitt Clinton High School in the Bronx, where he taught English and Martial Arts, and wrote/performed educational rhymes.
