When an undercover agent is killed during a failed attempt to capture the elusive drug dealer, Martello, FBI Section Chief Moss decides he needs Special Agent Ben York on the case. The problem is York is serving time in a Virginia State penitentary for killing four people. York agrees to go undercover using a false identity in return for his freedom and the address of the woman he loves, once Martello is captured.
