IROC's inaugural season was so compelling because the cars were matched Porsche 911Carrera RSRs, each painted a different color with driver/car assignments drawn at random. The cars were specially built by Porsche for this series. These specific IROC cars are now among the most valuable and storied 911s in the collector market.
