Johann Rudolf Wyss der Jüngere (1781 - 1830) war der Sohn des Pfarrers Johann David Wyss von Bern. Letzterer schrieb das bekannte Jugendbuch Der schweizerische Robinson. Wyss der Jüngere gab als Professor seit 1811 den Almanach Alpenrosen heraus. Dieser wurde zu einem führenden literarischen Jahrbuch in der Schweiz der ersten Hälfte des 19. Jahrhunderts.
