A selection of classic tales by Jacob and Wilhelm Grimm, Jeanne-Marie Le Prince de Beaumont and Marie-Catherine Le Jumel de Barneville, Baroness d'Aulnoy, illustrated in a pure Victorian style by Sir Walter Crane. The present edition includes the restored and recolored versions of "The Frog Prince", "Beauty and the Beast", "The Hind in the Wood", "Princess Belle-Etoile" and "Aladdin and the Wonderful Lamp".

Back in 1890, Lewis Carroll published a special edition of "Alice in Wonderland" in order to be "read by Children aged from Nought to Five", with twenty of John Tenniel's illustrations from the original book, colored and enlarged. This is the restored version.
