A Heritage of Courage

Richards, W. Thomas

A Heritage of Courage

Bridging the past with the present, this saga shifts from the early 1900s to present day in locations all over the world. An unlikely pairing of a young farm girl from Ireland and a young boy from a wealthy English family suffers the ramifications of their love as their parents' disapproval wreaks havoc on their relationship.

Currently, three beautiful cousins, 19 year old Jessica, 18 year old Rhiannon, and 17 year old Madeline are united in the care of their grandparents' estate. A sinister plot emerges when they learn that a plane was shot down and their grandparents are lost in the Amazon jungle with a drug cartel pursuing them. After a revealing encounter Rhiannon has with a preacher, she may have obtained information that could help save them.

Will the girls' rescue mission be successful? Or will they end up in as much danger as the grandparents they are trying to save?

W. Thomas Richards is also the author of The Amazon Incident, Strange Things at Alice Springs, and Calamity at the Devils Door, all mysteries featuring the same young cousins chronicled in this book. He graduated from college with the help of the GI bill, and was a supervisor for the Denver Water Department, where he worked for 37 years. He then worked in the airline industry for 10 years before retiring. W. Thomas Richards grew up in the Valverde area of Denver, and currently resides in the small town of Castle Rock. His diverse interests include golf, scuba diving, skiing, hunting, fishing, design work, writing, traveling, playing with his grandchildren, and flying ultra-light aircraft.
