A Pastoral Cordial, Or, An Anodyne Sermon.

The Battle is not to the Strong,
Nor to the Swift of Foot the Race:
But Time and Chance to ail belong,
Whether they're in, or out of Place.

I Shall so handle, by God's Blessing,
The subject Matter of my Text,
That you will soon grow tired of guessing
What I propose to offer next:
An Art if studied with some Care,
Which in its Object seldom fails,
And tho' first practis'd on the Fair,
Succeeds as well upon the Males.
