To the audience for which this book was written,

Just so you know, every poem in this book started with you. Language is the foundation of words, and no matter what you choose to believe in, I have always believed that the only thing you need to begin writing is the ability to speak a language. Everything that you feel that fulfills your soul and the love you have for yourself and each other is the beginning of something excellent- something that other people will care deeply about, and want to understand.

I hope that in this book, you find that the poems I've written reach you and touch your heart. I hope you gain understanding of your own experiences and crave reflection within yourself, the relationships that you conduct. We are so vastly different, but this we share: You are unique and excellent, and the things you have to say are truly said by nobody else. I hope you find through reading about my identity, youth, traumas and dreams, that in pieces you find yourself, even if it's one page, one line or one word.
