In the 1950s, when contemporary industrial design was just beginning to take off in Italy, Franca Santi Gualtieri was invited to join the editorial team of the fledgling Stile Industria, an offshoot of the influential design magazine, Domus. Written as a personal history of the birth of contemporary Italian industrial design, this charming and engaging paperback maps out the story of Gualtieri's experience at the magazine from the years 1954 to 1963, as well as his close collaboration with the famed, contemporaneous Abitare magazine.
