Of about 120 divergences from the first editic nearly all, with a few exceptions to be mentioned hereaft and with a few more which are simply alterations in orth graphy, are for the worse. It was evidently therefore first all necessary to be certain of the readings of the edition 1595. I therefore began by collating Mr Arber's repri with the copy in the British Museum, which is one of a ve few known to exist, and I have marked some few instan in which Mr Arber's printer has played him false.
