This study discusses the Apocalypse of John, the final book of the New Testament, as an example of idealistic literature. This approach compares the Apocalypse to literatures from societies comparable to the NT and to literatures from a variety of chronological and cultural milieux similar in a thematic sense to John's overarching views.
