Excerpt from Annual Report Vital Statistics of Massachusetts, 1893: Title Varies

The rule adopted last year in response to 'a general and reasonable demand, voiced through the press and otherwise, for a reduction in the volume of the annual reports which form what is known as the Public Document Series, is again applied in the present report, that is, to restrict the exhibition of tab ular results to such as are plainly of practical utility within the meaning of the statute by authority of which the tables are prepared.

The report is again edited by francis A. Harris, M.D., and especial care has been exercised to secure the greatest pos sible freedom from errors.
