When successful business woman, Judith Pascoe is murdered and her husband, Sam is injured in a home invasion, DCI Nina Monroe sets up an investigation to try to find Judith's killer. With little physical evidence to go on, Nina suspects that the Sam Pascoe knows more about his wife's killing than he is saying. A few weeks later mother-of-two, Maddy Cooper is found dead at the side of the road, the victim of a supposed hit and run, and another murder enquiry gets underway. As the investigation into Maddy's murder progresses, clues are unearthed that link her death to that of Judith Pascoe. As the nation is caught in the ever-tightening grip of the deadly Coronavirus pandemic, Nina and the members of the Serious Crimes Unit work feverishly to unravel the mystery and bring the killers to justice.
