What this book is, in essence, is the author's attempt to explain a universal spiritual cosmology to his daughter, who at present is a small child, and he has rendered it in the form of a short story in which she is the principal character. He has done this for a simple reason: he has motor neurone disease, and doesn't expect to live to see his daughter grow up.
