The laboratory extends such assistance by running tests on materials submitted by pri vate physicians, hospitals, health officers, clinics and other state and federal agencies.

To other divisions of the State Board of O Health it is primarily a service unit with most of its activities in the area of disease control and environmental sanitation.

Administration: Laboratory activity records and estimates of future demands and needs are essential to sound planning of budget needs and work volumes.
