Excerpt from Bills, 1900: Nos. 1-69An Act to consolidate the Floating Debt of the Town of Sudbury.Herbas the municipal corporation of the town of Sud Preamble. Bury have by their petition represented that they have incurred a ¿oating debt ot about in addition to the ordinary expenses of the corporation, the said ¿oating debt 5 having arisen mainly from unforeseen expenses in connection with the water, light and sewage systems of the town, and no funds have been provided for the payment thereof, and whereas the said corporation have represented that the pay ments to be made on account of the debenture debts of the 10 said municipality and the said ¿oating debt would be unduly oppressive to the ratepayers, and have further represented that in order to lessen the annual burden on the said rate payers it is desirable to extend the payment of the said ¿oat ing debt over a long term of years and whereas the said cor 15 poration have by their said petition prayed, among other things, that they may be authorized to issue debentures to an amount not exceeding in the whole, and with the money loaned thereon to pay off the present ¿oating indebtedness, and whereas it is expedient to grant the prayer of the said 20 petition.About the PublisherForgotten Books publishes hundreds of thousands of rare and classic books.
