The North Koreans decide to bomb both the Republican and Democratic National Conventions, to throw the United States into disarray by wiping out the leaders from both parties. The Koreans create radiological dispersal devices (RDDs), and with Iranian help smuggle the bombs into the United States. Domestic terrorists then disguise the bombs and hide them near the convention centers where the two political parties will meet to choose their candidates. Can the FBI, led by Chicago's new Special Agent in Charge Bill Peterson, find the bombs and disarm them before two cities are destroyed?
