Grace, raised in a compound, is hunted down for slaughter and saved by Mack, a freedom fighter, who takes her with him when he returns to base. Grace learns those who fight for freedom are the parents of children who were taken for slaughter many years before, and also learns the meaning of 'Type' - a terrible plan to cull the poor and put them back into the food chain, to feed those in poverty with the flesh of their own people...
