Broccoli Boot Camp

A comprehensive guide for parents of children who are selective or picky eaters, and can be used with children with or without special needs (eg: autism or Down syndrome). It presents commonsense behavioral interventions to successfully expand childrens diet variety and preferences for healthy foods. The book starts with the simple premise that when children are encouraged to taste and consume tiny portions of new foods, repeatedly and with lessening resistance, they learn to accept and enjoy the foods as part of their regular diets. This book should have crossover appeal. That is, it can be marketed to parents of all kids, whether or not they have developmental delays or disabilities. However, the authors state that of the children theyve treated who have disabilities, autism spectrum disorder is a common diagnosis. Also, over the years, weve learned of many kids with Down syndrome who have very restricted diets -- for instance, the son of a past author had a diet consisting of a half-dozen beige foods, including peeled wieners (yuck!) You can market this book to professionals such as psychologists and behavior analysts (the authors say that treating selective eating is similar to treating a phobia), and sensory therapists, occupational therapists, and speech-language pathologists. Probably dietitians and nutritionists too. And in the US we have pediatric feeding disorders clinics and imagine you have something similar. Hope this helps.
