On raw sugar the former preferential rate was fifty-two and a half cents and the general rate eighty-three and one -half cents for ninety - six degrees, which made a preference of thirty, one cents. Under the new rates proposed, the preferential 'will be forty and three-quarters cents fer the ninety-six degrees, and the general fifty - seven and a half cents making isixteen and three-quarters of a preference.
