Holmes, of Harvard University, who writes an introduction to the volume in which Doctor Montessori describes her method, suggests only an adap tafion which may be used experimentally as a preliminary to the usual Froebelian system. Many other prominent educators also, while finding valuable features, fail to recognize in it a desirable revolution as applied to the education of normal children.
