Rodrigo Díaz de Vivar, el Cid is a man with principals, a faithful vessel and honorable person. Exiled by the king, leaving behind a wife and daughters in his land, fights to recover his honor. Fierce and fearsome in the fight, he was always generous and showed humanity to the defeated, and such were his feats that his fame spread throughout the peninsula and very soon he became a hero admired by the people. With this adaptation, Francisco Alejo has crafted a story that is faithful to the original in a language that sounds old but readers will recognize as current with historical, cultural and geographical references.
