In 1983 director John Cassavetes asked Michael Ventura to write an on-set diary of the making of his film "Love Streams". During production the director learned that he was seriously ill. This film turned out, tragically, to be his last. This book presents a portrait of the man and an insight into his filmmaking philosophy.
