After years of painting Native Americans and accumulating their artefacts, American artist George Catlin (1796-1872) took his collection to Europe. He recalls the experience in this two-volume account, published in 1848. Volume 1 focuses on London, while Volume 2 features Catlin's exhibition in Paris.
