Part I of this book is for beginners who don't know a cross-country ski from a ladder. Part II is for novices intent on becoming intermediates. Part III is for those who now feel completely at home on cross-country skis and want to let loose with the experts. Part IV deals with the all-important matter of waxing. The authors don't promise to get anyone on the United States Olympic Team, but the they feel confident that no matter how young or how old the skier-to-be-is, he will soon feel comfortable on cross-country skis and will enjoy the pleasures of ski touring-or even racing, if so inclined.
