Cowboy, an autobiographical novel by Chinese author Zsiying Lam, tells the adventures of a Chinese merchant throughout the second half of the 20th century. Having left China from Hong Kong to pursue studying opportunities and a better life, he ended up migrating to Canada but returning to Southeast Asia to launch various business ventures.
