Excerpt from Das Urteil Des ParisAdolf wilbrandt, the son of a professor, was born in Rostock, a university town in the north of Germany nine miles from the Baltic Sea, August 24, 1837. After graduat ing from the university he devoted himself to a literary career, at first in Munich, later in Berlin, Frankfort and Rome. In 1871 he moved to Vienna, where ten years later he was appointed Director of the Court Theater.
