In your Latin poem, printed in the Classical Journal, you have thus truly depicted the baneful effects of phthisis on the human constitution, and its hitherto fatal terminations.

"Decolor hinc hominum facies, et squalida pallent,
Ora situ, subet effoetis pulmonibus æger
Halitus, articulos macies exanguis adurit:
Nee longum tempus, nimia cum mole laborum
Lactantes animas optatâ morte reponunt:" -
