I spent thirty-¿ve years of my sober life helping others. I worked all the steps in Alcoholics Anonymous religiously, but my happiness only lasted for
moments. Joy, I thought, meant getting the things I wanted (relationships, money, success), most of the time, I felt alone and depressed. Thirty years sober, I was on the verge of running, going back to doing things on my own, and possibly losing my sobriety. That was when God called me, and I would learn about Jesus, my Lord, and Savior. I was sixty years old when I discovered Jesus.


My life would be meaningless without my relationship with Jesus. I learned Jesus could give me joy regardless of the circumstances in my life. Truth
never changes, knowledge of God's word and living by His example gave me spiritual joy. Being manic-depressive and by-polar ¿nding Jesus, I
no longer feel alone.


I have been studying the Bible for over ten years. I had so many conceptions and prejudices toward God. Jesus didn't come down to condemn me, He
gave me choices on the way I live and feel. Regardless of my circumstances, my age, or how broken I think, Jesus gives you hope!


Regardless of Religion and what others taught you about God, Jesus wants you to have a personal relationship of your own. Following His example
will lead to eternal freedom!
