Seized by curiosity as to its maker, Doreen seeks advice from a wise dog-spirit who encourages her to go on a quest to discover who made the shoe and why. After a perilous journey, Doreen meets with a 'portadordeluz' - a magic boy who has been raised by Trolls. He tells her that the maker of her beautiful shoe is The Old Man in The Mountain.
