In this edition some amendments have been made, in cluding a new chapter on the Principles of Land Settlement. The author wishes to again emphasize the value of the moisture-saving fallow in helping the f armer to overcome drought. Further more, he would point out that the meth ods of dry-farming may be employed, with great advantage, in humid countries.
