Leadership skills have been observed and analyzed from several angles by researchers to distinguish leaders' characteristics since early 1900's. Their finding was no surprise that that leadership quality and features did not have a specific ability or especial trait. Researchers turned their focus on the influence of the situation on leaders' skills and behaviors. Their examinations resulted on recognizing which leadership behaviors were illustrated by successful leaders. To clarify their findings, and to ensure the reason of making effective leaders, they focused on the relationship between trait, different situations, and leadership effectiveness by applying the contingency model.
