The classics are truly a treasure for us all and they are part of the cultural heritage we have inherited. This collection aims to put them within students⿿ reach, especially secondary school children, and not just those who are studying the arts but also those who, without this contact, would not get close to any of the great works of literature. For this, we have one essential basis: absolute faithfulness to the original. Not one shred of the content of the text is changed, merely words which are more accessible to young people of today are used.
