Employees motivational preferences and Transformational Leadership

Over recent years the increasing complexity of organizations has led to an interest in leadership not limited to formally appointed leaders or top leaders. There is much evidence that leadership is important throughout an organization and not just in roles labeled 'leader'. This book explored the level of transformational leadership, employees' motivational orientations and managers' perceptions of employees' motivation and the associated relationships that exist at ACSI, a micro finance institution working in Amhara region (Ethiopia), which established with the mission of providing lending and saving services to the poor so that it can contribute to the national struggle of increasing food security and the fight against poverty. Throughout these years, ACSI has performed so astonishingly that it was not the best not only among financial institutions of the country but was also rated the best in the continent. The paper statistical analyzed the motivational orientations of the employees and search if there are relationships among the leadership constructs, employees' motivational orientations and managers' perceptions of employees' motivations.
