Smaller subdivisions are considered subregions. Divisions that occur in Utah are illustrated in figure 2. Ecoregion boundaries transcend political boundaries such as county and State, how ever the summaries in this report represent only those portions of the ecoregions and subregions that occur within the northern portion of the State.
