There are hundreds of online forums that offer gathering places for "player”s to create stories by taking turns. What makes these "players” voluntarily type up novel-length stories? Through observing more than a hundred websites, and participating in five of them, Csenge Virág Zalka creates a pilot study that delves into this subculture.
