This is the story of young Bill Quimby, an Iowa farm boy whoas itching to enlist in the Union Army to help put down the rebellion thatas been going on for the past year. Now, eighteen years old, he joins the army for an adventure shared by millions of Americans during the four crucial years of the Civil War.
