The reforms in French orthography recently adopted by the French Academy and officially announced by the Minister of Public Instruction have been indicated immediately beneath the rule affected. In this time of transition it was felt that both ways should be known, as the new one is not as yet commonly used and the old one is needed for the clear under standing of texts read.
