People are susceptible to determining their own means of action when it comes to personal healing, either orchestrating their own healings or basing their recoveries on others' actions. However, God is the one who wants to aid people the most in healing from past hurts/pains, but He also wants people to take part in their own rescues. Author Sandy Alexander experienced this firsthand, being born a heroin-addicted baby and dealing with unbearable conditions as a foster child. She recounts though in her new book, Healing Contradictions, that she was able to achieve healing through trusting God's plan and viewing healing as a journey towards a renewed mind. Sandy's advice centers on seeing society as hiding behind masks of hypocrisy and systems of thoughts that contradict one another. With Jesus's saving power, people can break from these sacred cows of thought, find the roots of their pains and obtain full healing.
