A mother chicken is determined to build her nest of straw in a pail at the zoo. Her chicks can safely play and be happy with the other animals. First, she has to stand up for herself, explain the importance of eggs, and convince the zookeeper to let her stay. But, what happens when the zoo is sold and Zachery goes to his family home on the farm?
