HIV/AIDS is a deadly human infective disease. However, currently HIV/AIDS treatment is entering a bottleneck stage (incurable disease treatments). The fundamental issue for HIV/AIDS therapeutics is still unresolved. This book outlines a number of possible pharmaco-therapeutic solutions for scientific investigations, technical advancements and clinical utilities-including viral origin, biology, pathogenesis, animal model, diagnostics and therapeutics. New viral targets (biotherapy, viral latency and human genomic integration) and long-lasting medical practice (traditional Chinese medicine and new generations of drug combinations and so on) are highlighted.
