I hope that this little volume will be judged rather by its virtues of commission than by its sins of omission. It is not a complete handbook and guide to the decoration and furnishing of homes, but it treats adequately for the first time many subjects usually slighted or neglected. Most of the chapters have already appeared in magazine form.
