This is a story about two young men struggling to find their own identities. Nick is a young man from New Zealand. He is facing a very difficult task: How to admit to his conservative, Catholic family and his girlfriend that he is bisexual. Nick's parents, brother and Nick decide to take a family vacation to Croatia. They were joined by their girlfriends Silvia and Ann. Nick decides to tell Ann the truth about his sexuality before their big trip. Ann is in shock, but comes to terms with it. Now, Nick needs to tell his parents and brother and decides that the best time would be in Croatia. A young Australian priest, Steven is battling his own demons too. Steven believes he's a woman trapped in man's body. Not wanting to continue a life of pretence and lies Steven decides to leave the priesthood. He shocks his friends and fellow priests with his decision. To find his true self Steven decides to go to Vatican, and then continues to Medjugorije. In Medjugorije he meets Nick's father Peter who is there to confess his sins and purify his soul. Peter decides to take Steven back to the little village of Marina in Dalmatia, where he has been staying with his family. Peter's family liked Steven and tried to make him feel welcomed. Steven felt like he finally belongs somewhere, he found people that care about him, he finally found family that he lost long time ago. The events that happen after will change everyones lives. This story is real and sad. It shows people facing different problems and the way they are dealing with them.
