This study introduces the reader into Lou Andreas-Salome's critical and creative engagement with modern thought. Through explorations of some of her major texts, Brinker-Gabler examines Andreas-Salome's perspective within contemporary discourses attentive to meaning, perception, memory, and the unconcious.
